America's Most Stolen Cars 2008

Buying a truck or SUV? Read this. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) statistics on America's Most Stolen Cars, trucks and SUVs are among the most popular among car thieves.

The most expensive property crime in America is Vehicle Theft, with an estimated cost of over $7.6 billion annually.

In NICB "Hot Wheels" report released in July 2008, the 10 vehicles most frequently reported stolen in the U.S. in 2007 are:
